Do you know the website/online shopping service Moda Operandi? It was started by Vogue Contributing Editor Lauren Santo Domingo and retail specialist Áslaug Magnúsdóttir. Every couple of days, I get an email from M’O with a small but fabulous selection of goods straight from the runway of top fashion designers such as Fendi, Rag & Bone, Missoni, Emanuel Ungaro, Matthew Williamson, Derek Lam, Rodarte, etc, etc.
The idea behind M’O is that fashion brands don’t produce runway pieces that aren’t ordered by retailers, thus, many pieces are never produced and sold to the public. With M’O, you, as an individual, can are able to ensure that these pieces are made – at least for you – when you place an order.
In addition to clothing, shoes and handbags, M’O also has a plethora of talented and unique jewelry designers. Recently it was Ranjana Khan, an Indian native who recently started her own collection. The pieces are BIG and BOLD, just how I like them!!
The M’O ‘trunk show’ is over now (they only last a few days and then *poof*, they’re gone), but never fear – there is indeed a list of retailers listed under “where to buy” on Ranjana Khan’s website.
Why? Because you have a ton of holiday parties coming up and you want to shine for them all, right?!
