TOY NECKLACE. Here I am, after a long day of blogging, researching (shopping! jewelry!) and packing for my trip to Munich (that’s München auf Deutsch) and doing laundry. And let me tell you, doing laundry here is quite an undertaking – 4 hours for 2 loads (thanks to the “über-efficient European washers), as well as very precise timing (if you don’t want to pay 3€/$4 because you weren’t able to get 2 loads through the 3 pay cycles). Can’t wait to have our own washer/dryer – this month! The cycles still take hours, but at least we won’t have to pay $10 for each load of laundry!
Laundry aside, I thought today was a good day to sport something fun and playful around my neck. It’s a mix of clay beads, glass beads, wood beads and a cotton ‘toy’ on waxed cotton. I am racking my brain trying to remember where I got this necklace – either Sintra (Portugal) or somewhere in France. I’m pretty sure France…. Anyway, with the cloth figure in the mix, I thought it was neat. And not my norm thing, which I like! I wore it with a pair of my go-to earrings, rhinestone ‘lips’ from a wholesaler in Paris.
