Casual Enamel
This is the THIRD FRIDAY IN A ROW that I’ve sat down to finish this post. So much for the ‘blog every week’ promise. But no one’s perfect, right? I’ve been wearing and photographing my jewelry weekly, but haven’t managed to hit the “Post” button weekly.
What can I say? It’s been a rough couple of weeks. Between my daughter being in daycare with germ-y kiddos to my husband’s new “open seating/no one has their own desk” arrangement at work, we are all constantly sick. There it is. That’s my excuse.
Now onto the jewelry. Lucky for you, I’ve spared you the selfie stick this time. Instead it’s my outfit, without me. I don’t often wear pins, partly because they tend to catch on things. Also because it’s harder to find cool pins. And I’m more of an earrings and necklace girl.

Enamel pins were very popular in the 1950s and 1960s, and that’s when these two pins were likely made. They’re unsigned, so I’m not sure of the brand. I found them at a great little picture-framing-cum-vintage-jewelry-store in Walker, Minnesota. I’ve gotten several pieces there over the last couple of years, and I love going to visit the shop whenever we’re up at the cabin in northern Minnesota.
Have a great weekend and happy collecting!
